Nut-Free Chocolate Spread
This nut-free chocolate spread includes 3 ingredients and takes only 5 minutes to make. It’s also diary-free, sugar-free, gluten-free and vegan.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened sunflower seed butter or other nut-free peanut butter replacement
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan on the stove.
- Turn on heat to high.
- As soon as the nut-free butter begins to soften, lower the heat to low.
- Begin stirring rapidly.
- After 1-2 minutes, turn off the heat. This step is important because the spread can easily dry out if placed on heat for too long.
- Continue stirring after the heat is turned off for another 1-2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
- Remove from the saucepan right away. If kept in the heated saucepan too long, the spread will dry out.
- Store in a well-sealed container. This spread does not need to be refrigerated.
