The luxe dinner venue Bonboon offers three-, four- or five-course menus. Gourmet dishes include lima beans with fennel broth nori oil and dill, rouille, grilled fermented radicchio with tahini dressing, Swede gratin with smoked onion jam, barley with lemon dressing, grilled, and chocolate malt cake for dessert. Be sure to receive your table in advance, which requires a 25-pound deposit.

This chic Japanese-inspired space fuses gourmet vegan food with live music to create an immersive dining experience that taps into all the senses. H/eart.h has won Trip Advisors Traveler Choice Award numerous times for good reason–it serves colorful, playful presentations of modern plant-based food with international culinary influences. This casual restaurant with a water view specializes in very affordable, artisanal four-course dinners served four days a week. The prix fix menu changes seasonally–its winter menu includes lots of root vegetables like celeriac and parsnips. Some examples of its menu are rye bread with mung beans, roasted kohlrabi and rutabaga kimchi, mushroom pickled beech mushroom with roasted leek, and, for dessert, apple purée with coffee crumble and Jerusalem artichoke semifreddo.  Snacks and drinks are served at its bar Tuesdays through Sundays. Mediamatic accepts reservations on its website–dinner rezzies require a deposit.

This stylish restaurant with family-style seating serves plant-focused vegetarian fare with Indian and other Asian influences. You’ll find dishes ranging from naan and vegetable tofu skewers to avocado nori tempura and a green power salad.

Alain, community manager of the Golden Temple, tells her healthy passport, “We are a vegetarian family-friendly restaurant where all of the dishes can be made vegan. We use quality, organic ingredients, and all our food is homemade from scratch. We have a very electric atmosphere and are almost always booked. This makes working a lot of fun.”

Open for dinner daily and lunch on weekends, Golden Temple now offers a 100% vegan lunch.

Men Impossible

This vegan ramen restaurant is an all-time favorite of locals and visitors, who rave about the fresh, homemade ramen noodles. Some of the explosive sauces include black burnt garlic, truffle and hot chili pepper.

Mr. Blou

Mr. Blou’s falafel stand is a cozy take out spot in the Jordaan District that’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Owner Blou Washington is a passionate cook who loves his customers. He specializes in homemade vegan falafel wraps with generous amounts of avocado. Other healthy options include salads, fresh fruit and vegetable juices and ginger shots.

Located on the east side of the city near the University of Amsterdam, this cafe that began as mostly plant-based transitional to 100% vegan in 2021. Open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner, the Meets serves Italian-influenced European cuisine with a modern twist. Some gourmet dishes include deep fried oyster mushrooms. stir fried cauliflower with black truffle, mushroom wellington, and pistachio creams with vanilla baked pear.  Reservations are accepted on its website.
